Summer Theatre Experience Auditions

            ALP is pleased to announce auditions for the first ever ALP Summer Theatre Experience!  The auditions are open to any age and experience level.  Roles are being offered in the all of the following shows:  The Diaries of Adam and Eve, Shadowlands, and Steel Magnolias.  The audition should consist of two contrasting monologues (one dramatic and one comic) about a minute in length each.  If possible, please bring a resume and a recent headshot.  The auditions will be held on Saturday, May 6 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Church of the Holy Cross on Millbrook Road in Raleigh.  For directions, please click here.  For more information or to sign up for an audition slot, please contact arisinglight@gmail.com or call the ALP Box Office at (919) 552-1947.

ALP Summer Camp, Raleigh, NC (8-12 years old)

            A week full of fun and excitement for the beginner and advanced student alike!  Activities include creative dramatics, movement, and acting instruction that will culminate in a one-act play for the entire community at the end of the week.  Students will experience all the excitement of putting together a full production while also receiving quality training that is worthwhile and entertaining.  Camp will be held at Triangle Community Church in Apex, NC and runs the week of June 5-9 from 9 am to 3 pm daily.  Cost per student is $100.  For more information or to register, please the ALP Box Office at (919) 552-1947.

Theatre Experience at The Cultural Commission’s CWIS Camp

This is an intensive track offering professional actor training coupled with a commitment to excellence in Christian art. Students will receive ample instruction in the art of acting through the rehearsal of a one-act play that will be featured at the end of the week. Instruction will include daily lectures and discussion forums on various topics affecting the Christian actor in the world of modern theatre.
